So the third one is going to be good and bad at the same time? I haven't watched the second, but I heard it was lame.

I haven't seen Cars 2, but the first was a surprise. Car people made that movie, no doubt about that.

The 2nd wasn't great, but that racing series was pretty badass. It had every possible type of racecar

I've seen the first Cars (and to a lesser extent, the Incredibles) so so soooooo many more times than any adult should have to endure. It's not terrible, and in fact it's pretty good, except for the hillbilly comedic sidekick, 'Mater. But when they came out with a sequel I completely hid any evidence of it from my son, who was 3 or 4, I think. He would watch Cars the first time all the way through and then when the credits rolled ask me to re-start it! Again and again and again.

The horrors. *shivers*

my 2,5 year old son is CRAZY about Cars ( 1 & 2 ) and Planes... I really liked the first Cars for all the small references ( like the fact that the neon-lights at Flo's V8 Café actually flash in the order of the firing of the first Ford V8 ), Cars 2 was awesome for having all those famous racers in it ( Alsonso, Vettel, Gordon etc ) and the actual racing-scenes were pretty cool too... I hope Cars 3 goes back a bit more to the style of the original.

I kinda like Planes as well, but since we bought the bluray last month, I've seen it about 10 times, I can't even count the amount of times we've seen the Cars-films so it'll be great to add another one for a little change :-D

Yeah my son is now 6 and has thankfully grown out of the same movie over and over. Toy story 3 is another good one put that I've seen way too many times. Now I'm trying to get permission to take him to need for speed :) In my defense he does play the game on my phone all the time....

I took some of my younger cousins to see the first and second Cars. Watched Planes...while on a plane. I actually like the movies. Incredibles isn't too bad either.

I have the added disadvantage that I'm from Belgium, so native Dutch-speaking and the voice-overs for some movies are just horrible in the 'Flemish' version ( the actual dutch dialect spoken in the north of Belgium ), for Cars & Planes they're great but Toy Story is a whole different matter...

It's so bad that I wanted to go see the LEGO-movie in theathres, but as it's a 'kid'-movie, they only show the Flemish version :-( So I'll have to use "other" ways to watch it with the brilliant English voicecast... At the moment my son doesn't care too much about watching things in English, I hope it stays like that for another few years as it's great for his language-development... I sometimes wonder what he's thinking when we're watching something in English ( like the LEGO-Star Wars movies ).

I already learned that I have to watch out what I do/play in his vicinity as I was playing GTA5 with him on the couch and he suddenly started shouting "Fuck You Nigga" all over the place, so I switched to Lego City Underground from then on :p

he suddenly started shouting "Fuck You Nigga"

Whoa. Yeah that is definitely the kind of thing his mother would prefer he not say (even in another language lol). I haven't noticed any dialogue in the NFS: Hot Pursuit cell phone game... Thankfully. Maybe I'll take him to that Lego movie, instead. :)

Hahahaha. I was in a game shop and bought the cars video game. I was 25 (or maybe 24) at the time. It cost me $1. I have to say, for $1 I got my value. I played it in some random spare time to the final race, which I never completed.

He's in the stage where he does everything he sees or hears... I stopped playing Fallout New Vegas around him last week after he built a 'gun' with his megablockx and started "shooting" stuff...

And when we went to Brussels for "The Art Of The Brick" I had to actually train him not so sing a song he heard on the radio that morning, it was "Putain Putain" by Arno ( which basically means "Whore Whore" ) but as most people in Brussels speak French... Sometimes it's really funny ( I think the whole Putain Putain-part is hilarious, my wife, not so much ) but other times it's just awkward :)
